L’établissement, réparti sur une surface de 19000m², est un exemple d’innovations et de durabilité grâce à l'utilisation de matériaux biosourcés pour sa conception.
3900m3 de bois, provenant du Massif Central, et 17 000 bottes de paille ont été utilisés pour faire du bâtiment un "puits de carbone". Par ailleurs, l’établissement dispose de près de 2 000 m² de panneaux solaires et produit ainsi plus d’énergie qu’il n’en consomme.
