Eiffage and Sodeports signed the concession contract to operate and develop the 10 marinas on the Bay of Toulon

Eiffage Concessions and Sodeports joined their skills and know-how within the company project Portelo which signed the contract to take over this public service delegation from 1st January 2024.
Total investment amounts to nearly €80 million over the contract period, to which will be added the expenses for major maintenance.
This delegation covers the following harbours and port areas: Toulon Darse Nord, Toulon Vieille Darse, Vieux-Port de la Seyne-sur-Mer, Espace Grimaud, Balaguier, Manteau, Tamaris, Lazaret including the aquaculture sector, Pin Rolland and Saint-Mandrier.
These 10 harbours and port areas will be managed in a global, integrated and connected way, in line with project stakeholders’ expectations. For this reason, and to raise the profile of these marinas and support their development in the region, the concession operator, Portelo, will operate as a mission-led company overseen by two bodies responsible for ensuring that its social and environmental objectives are achieved.
The contract has multiple objectives: to renovate and upgrade structures and facilities to the latest standards; to improve the level of services provided; to make these 10 port areas some of the cleanest of the mediterranean area; and to implement sustainable development solutions for protecting biodiversity, developing renewable and decarbonised energies, as well as managing waste and water. EiffageServices will be in charge of the maintenance and operation of the various port buildings.
Eiffage Concessions will manage the design-build modernisation works, to be undertaken by the Group’s various business lines: Eiffage Génie Civil through its subsidiary Eiffage Travaux Maritimes et Fluviaux, Eiffage Route, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes and Eiffage Construction. Works are planned to start in 2025 and continue until 2029.
This contract consolidates Eiffage’s strategy of diversifying its concessions portfolio, including in the marinas.
