Expercité installs eco-friendly, connected streetlights for Tours Métropole Val de Loire
Eiffage Énergie Systèmes’ dedicated brand for towns and local authorities is completing the commissioning of new streetlights in the rue Nationale, Tours. Street furniture is being replaced and technical facilities installed in three stages.
To start with, our teams carried out engineering work, shaped the streetlight foundations and rolled out cables, during the summer of 2019.
During the months of February and March 2020, they removed the existing furniture in order to install multi-purpose LED light poles. The lighting system of each of these new streetlights is now street-directed, so as to limit light pollution towards people’s homes.
These new-generation street lamps are also pre-equipped for wi-fi terminals and CCTV cameras. By the end of summer 2020, our electricians will have installed and commissioned two connected street lighting cabinets to which the new light poles will be linked up. The new facilities are to be equipped with a CityTouch light management system enabling the city of Tours to make substantial energy savings. The street lighting operators will also be able to monitor and program the facilities remotely.
