Eiffage consolidates its presence in Germany in the energy sector with the acquisition of EQOS

EQOS specialises in the fields of energy transmission and distribution, telecommunications, and rail. In 2023, the company generated revenue of €459 million and has nearly 1,700 employees. Thanks to its 43 sites, it positions itself as European player and operates mainly in Germany and Austria.

This acquisition allows the development of Eiffage Énergie Systèmes in Germany’s buoyant energy infrastructure market, a dynamic and rapidly growing sector central to the energy and digital transitions.

This negotiated transaction will be financed from cash available and is subject to approval by the European competition authorities. It is expected to be finalised in late 2024.

Eiffage Énergie Systèmes already operates in Germany with four major subsidiaries in tertiary and industrial sectors: Elomech, Schwarz and Grantz, Nat, and Salvia Group (acquired and consolidated early in 2024), with a total of almost 3,000 employees and revenue of €630 million in 2023.

This new transaction reinforces Eiffage Énergie Systèmes as a key player in the German energy sector, where it is now present in every market.

Eiffage is also present in Germany with Eiffage Génie Civil and Eiffage Métal, which generated combined revenue of over €1.5 billion there in 2023.
