Come visit the Hôtel de la Marine
The Centre des monuments nationaux has chosen Eiffage Métal in 2019 to participate in the restoration of the Hôtel de la Marine. After months of work, the latter opened its doors to the public for the first time in its history, this Saturday, June 12 at 10:30 am.
Located on the Place de la Concorde in Paris, this complex created in the eighteenth century by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the King's first architect, is worth a visit! It is an opportunity to discover the magnificent crystalline glass roof designed by Hugh Dutton for the Intendant's court and considered an architectural work in its own right.
In addition to this splendid main glass roof of 280 m², with a metal frame structure, prestressed cables and a microperforated stainless steel sheet cladding, Eiffage Métal produced the bronze joinery with large-scale glazing, as well as a second glass roof with slats on beams and glass stiffeners.
