Final rail welding for Eiffage Rail on the RER E extension site
The last rail weld on the RER E extension project: all 56 km of track are now welded! Our teams, working as part of a consortium on this project since June 2019, are in charge of laying almost 30 km of track between Nanterre and Haussmann-Saint-Lazare stations.
The EOLE project involves :
- extending the RER E line westwards: 56 km of new and upgraded tracks
- the creation of 3 new stations: Porte Maillot, La Défense and Nanterre
- modernisation of 10 stations between Houilles-Carrières-sur-Seine and Mantes-La-Jolie
- A new line that will help make the inner and outer suburbs of Paris more attractive.
What's next? Energising the catenary!
