Eiffage Rail Express, the first private manager of railway infrastructure integrated into the French national rail network
The authorisation of Eiffage Rail Express (ERE) acknowledges that Eiffage is capable of ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of the Brittany-Pays de la Loire high-speed rail link
On 21 February 2017, the French Railway Safety Authority (EPSF) approved Eiffage Rail Express (ERE) as infrastructure manager of the Bretagne-Pays de la Loire high-speed rail link. ERE thus becomes the first private manager of railway infrastructure integrated into the French national rail network. Historically, most of the French national rail network has been mainly operated by SNCF.
SNCF Réseau has entrusted Eiffage Rail Express with the maintenance and renewal of the high-speed rail link until 2036. SNCF will be responsible for the operating and movement of trains on the line.
This authorisation acknowledges that Eiffage is capable of ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of the Brittany-Pays de la Loire high-speed rail link. The French Railway Safety Authority delivered the authorisation for the maximum renewable period of five years.
