2026 Pass Sécurité Awards: four companies honoured, including Aevia

At the third annual Pass Sécurité Awards, the motorway concession operator APRR recognized four partner companies for exemplary operations carried out on the APRR, AREA, and ADELAC networks. These awards highlight the companies’ commitment to safety on highway construction sites.

“This ceremony highlights the initiatives and commitments that contribute day after day to protecting those who work on our construction sites” explained Alexandre Claude, Director of Infrastructure and Concession Contracts at Eiffage’s Motorway Concessions division in France, in his introduction to the third Pass Sécurité Awards, which took place on Thursday 19 March at AREA’s headquarters in Jonage (Rhône). Created in 2022, the Pass Sécurité Awards reflect a strong commitment to advancing risk prevention on construction sites across the APRR, AREA and ADELAC networks. They rely on the involvement of all stakeholders in a project, from the project owner to the contractors, including the health and safety coordination team.

The 2026 winners
At the 2026 event, three main trophies (gold, silver and bronze) were awarded in recognition of strict adherence to the Safety Pass guidelines, along with a special jury prize highlighting innovation and best practice. “These awards also recognise concrete actions, professionalism in day-to-day work and a commitment to moving forward together” added Alexandre Claude.

Once again this year, the winning companies reported no lost-time accidents on the projects recognised:
•    Gold Trophy – Spie Batignolles, Le Foll TP – A71 Road resurfacing
•    Silver Trophy – Aevia – A46 Sermenaz Viaduct
•    Bronze Trophy – Eurovia Clermont-Ferrand branch – A71 Resurfacing of the Montpertuis and Pessat-Villeneuve service areas
•    Special Jury Prize – Cofex-GTM – A6 Upgrading of bridge 411.

“We must continue to work, analyse high-risk situations and anticipate more effectively to prevent accidents. Our goal is ambitious: to achieve an accident frequency rate of less than 5 and maintain this level over the long term. This is not merely an indicator; it reflects the high standards we set ourselves to protect those who keep our infrastructure running” concluded Alexandre Claude.
