The 5-star Hotel Regina, an illustration of Biarritz's Belle Epoque architecture, transformed by our Eiffage Construction teams

Following demolition and clearance work carried out between October and December 2022 by a company commissioned by Experimental Group, the owner of the premises, our teams carried out the renovation of this top-of-the-range hotel by French interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon between January and June 2023.
 
On the programme: 72 rooms renovated in a revisited art deco style, as well as a restaurant, a spa/hammam and the creation of a 160m² meeting room, a boutique and a new cocktail bar in the atrium.
 
In addition to the usual work inherent in renovating a period building, our teams were involved in a number of technical aspects, inviting them to update their techniques and know-how, such as :

• Limewash paint;
• Textured plaster applied with a spoon;
• Mortx microcement;
• Replacing all the carpets;
• Working with Japanese straw (a typical wall covering made from a weave of straw glued to paper);
• Tiling of various sizes and layouts;
• All the cornices and spandrels in staff;
• Custom-made sculpted frescoes in staff;
• Wall coverings in zellige (a type of Moroccan ornamental mosaic).

On the technical side, our teams replaced all the electrical and sanitary equipment, as well as the landing doors. The
