He joined Gerland Routes in 1982, which became part of the Eiffage Group in 1993. In 2006, he became Regional Director of Eiffage Travaux Publics, and later that same year, he was appointed CEO of APRR and AREA after Eiffage won the public tender for the privatization of French highways.
Known for his remarkable human qualities, he always emphasized understanding the field and maintaining dialogue with his colleagues and social partners.
In 2011, he became Chairman of APRR and became a key figure in the highway sector. In 2018, he was entrusted with the direction of all of Eiffage's highway concessions in France.
Through his expertise, leadership, and legendary calm strength, Philippe passionately defended the Group's values and supported the strategic developments of our highway concessions, always fostering a spirit of dialogue and cohesion.
A great sports enthusiast, it was only natural that upon his departure, the Group gathered, alongside other Group colleagues, high-level athletes supported by Eiffage: Laurent Chardard, Souleymane Cissokho, Koumba Larroque, Luka Mkheidze, Alpha Ouma Djalo, Manon Valentino, Marine Vallet, and Estelle Vander-Zwalm.
