On the SNCF Villeneuve Demain technicentre project, Eiffage Civil Engineering has inaugurated the concrete plant!
This concrete plant will be used for the construction of building and railway facilities. Our teams are fully committed to this Ile-de-France project in design, construction, and maintenance, on a 31-hectare site in the heart of Val-de-Marne.
On this site, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of the rolling stock for Line R and RER D will be carried out; activities that will continue throughout the modernization works, with new maintenance facilities eventually meeting the technical specifications of next-generation trains.
Key figures:
- 16,500 m² of construction area,
- 64,000 tons of concrete from deconstruction reused,
- 43,000 tons of ballast reused,
- 20,000 tons of materials removed by river transport.
Major milestones and objectives:
Health – Safety: Sharing common values for 100% safety and the SNCF Réseau program "Our lives, our priority," which includes systematic analysis of high-severity potential events, Stop & Go, shared vigilance, and numerous trainings.
Environment: Use of bio-sourced materials and implementation of a multimodal logistics strategy relying on rail and river transport.
Digital: Lifecycle monitoring of the structure with a BIM model; during the design-construction phases, up to maintenance.
Employment: 158,000 hours of work on the site reserved for people distanced from employment.
