In Colombia, Eiffage Génie Civil Marine drives the first offshore pile on the Puerto Antioquia project

This major milestone marks the start of offshore activities, which include :

• the installation of more than 1,000 piles with a diameter of 1,524 mm and an average length of 75 m,
• the installation of prefabricated elements weighing more than 70 t,
• and the concreting of more than 80,000 m³ of concrete from the plant installed on the EGCM03 barge.

For these large-scale operations, 15 ships and barges will be mobilised over the next 15 months, including the barges EGCM03 and EGCM04.

The piles will be manufactured entirely on site from steel coils. To date, the plant has already produced the equivalent of 25 piles.
