Eiffel Tower : Eiffage continues to modernise the lift on the north pillar

These claw-like safety teeth allow the car to lock into place in the event of a fall. The 12 m long sections were carefully hoisted to the second floor of the tower, almost 100 metres high! In total, the rack sections are 140 m long.

Since 2018, the Eiffage Métal and Groupe Baudin Chateauneuf consortium has been working to make the lift more efficient, more reliable and in compliance with current safety standards.
