After visiting the building, the delegation was granted an audience with the Malian Republic’s President S. E M. Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, who expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the works and deadline compliance.
The President also took the opportunity to present Eiffage Senegal's CEO Gérard Sénac with the distinction of Officer of the National Order of Merit, and award the title Knight of the National Order of Merit to project manager Daouda Seck and architect Sébastien Philippe, who managed the project onsite.
Franco-Malian architect Sébastien Philippe then presented the book "Koulouba, le Palais du Mali", a chronological work tracing the Presidential Palace's history from 1908 to the present day.
On the same day and In the same vein as other cultural programmes carried out by the company in Senegal, Eiffage inaugurated the "Voyage à Dakar" exhibition at the Medina Gallery in the famous Médina Coura district of Bamako, including a meeting with Senegalese artists Soly Cissé, Aladji Koné, Seydou Diedhiou, Saadio, Khadidiatou Sow and their Malian counterparts. The exhibition runs until 30 April 2017.
