The steel structures for the bridges are shipped to Larvik from Eiffage Métal's welding yard in Lauterbourg. On site, the elements are assembled and then pushed onto temporary structures, sliding on Teflon pads and skids.
The next step is to weld the following steel sections to the rear edge before repeating the process. Around 135 meters are pushed at a time, at approximately two-month intervals.
This bridge marks the start of a series of projects, demonstrating our contribution to the development of Norwegian infrastructure with Nye Veier AS.
