Eiffage Énergie deploys optical fibre in the Saône et Loire department
Eiffage Énergie Telecom and Eiffage Énergie Bourgogne Champagne have been appointed by Saône et Loire Departmental Council to carry out the works involved in the deployment of public fibre optic networks in the Bourbonnais, South Morvan, Clunisois, Clayettois and South Brionnais regions.
Our teams are to begin the preliminary implementation studies in September. After completing this phase, they will be able to start installing 41,000 outlets in a variety of different places, from January onwards.
While this major undertaking is in progress, our teams will also need to create reception infrastructure (for the civil engineering work and overhead support) and at the same time, take charge of pulling and connecting up the optical fibre.
They will also be required to install and connect up the machine rooms. A series of measures and extensive testing will be required before the contracting work for this Fiber to the x-type deployment can be completed.
The work is due to begin in January 2018, and is scheduled until December 2020. This project represents 29,232,660 euros of revenue, shared between consortium members Eiffage Énergie Telecom and Eiffage Énergie Bourgogne Champagne.
