The 300-tonne structure was entirely manufactured and equipped in the Eiffage Métal plant in Lauterbourg. It is composed of 2 parts, each 26 metres long, 6 metres high and 5 metres wide. It was transported in early June by barge from Lauterbourg to Rotterdam. Then transhipped by boat to Tancarville.
Note: the mobilization by ETMF teams of a 500-tonne crane for the installation of this new lock.
Eiffage Métal's teams are now involved in the final assembly and pre-commissioning tests, in partnership with Clemessy for the electrical part.
The structure was delivered to the site on July 12.
