Inauguration of Hill 70 Canadian Memorial Park at Loos en Gohelle
After Notre Dame de Lorette Memorial and the Fraternity Monument, Eiffage Génie Civil's northern teams were able to attend the inauguration of their third project commemorating the Great War: the Canadian Memorial of the battle of Hill 70. The ceremony took place on 22 August in the presence of around 500 people.
100 years after this victorious battle symbolic of Canadian independence, the monument in its park at Loos en Gohelle pays tribute to the 1,877 men killed in combat. It was commissioned by the Hill 70 Memorial association and designed by architects Atelier Castro Denissof & Associés.
