Eiffage Metal : a successful incremental launch for Dudelange Bridge in Luxembourg
On 13 January, Eiffage Metal's Structures teams began the first stage of an incremental launch on Dudelange Bridge in Luxembourg.
The operation was attended by the Grand Duchy's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy Etienne Schneider, the Secretary of State for Sustainability and Infrastructures Camille Gira, the mayor of Dudelange Dan Biancalana and Laurent Zeimet, mayor of neighbouring Bettembourg.
The structure is 187 m long and about 15 m wide (a 12-m central lane for road traffic and 2.6 m of cycle lanes at the sides) and will involve 1,030 tonnes of steel. It is being built for the Ponts et Chaussées, Luxembourg's bridges and highways agency.
