Eiffage Immobilier delivers Fermes de l'Alpe, exceptional new flats in the heart of Alpe d'Huez

Nestling in the heart of the picturesque Vieil Alpe district, the Fermes de l'Alpe development has everything to make you melt! In the heart of the shops and right next to the cable cars giving access to the ski area, the development offers an ideal location for mountain lovers.

The major challenge for our Eiffage Construction teams on this project was to complete the shell and roofing of the four buildings before the onset of winter.

• The summer of 2021 marked the prelude to this adventure with large-scale preparatory work, including the demolition of existing structures, earthworks and the installation of temporary retaining walls.
• The works kicked off in May 2022 with the launch of the structural work, a stage that was successfully completed in October 2022. Immediately afterwards, the envelope phase took over from September to November 2022.

The timing was tight, but our teams rose to the challenge with exemplary logistical tenacity.

Following this major project, 62 homes for first-time buyers were built, covering a total surface area of almost 13,080m² and with 4,407m² of living space.These carefully designed homes feature a glulam roof structure, mixed exterior and interior insulation, larch wood cladding on the facades and exterior wood joinery.

Despite the challenges imposed by the Alpine winter, the development was successfully delivered, giving future residents the opportunity to make their home in this exceptional corner of the French Alps.
