Eiffage Énergie takes charge of burying networks in Mitry Mory

Mitry Mory Local Water and Power Authority (RCEEM), responsible for power distribution in this town in the Seine et Marne department, has appointed Eiffage Énergie's project teams to bury aerial networks.

Our colleagues at the Ferrières en Brie networks branch are to dismantle the aerial lines and posts in place in order to conceal the entrepreneurs' electricity, telecoms and street lighting networks and those in avenues Jean Jaurès and Verdun. They have dug trenches for the cabinets which will contain the new system, and reinstalled connections for about forty local residents (from street to rooftops, via the gardens). They have also commissioned telecoms connection terminals, as part of network modernization for operator Orange. "Apart from the aesthetic improvement, this modernization project will increase network reliability and facilitate maintenance by the different operators" says distribution activities manager Bruno Raia. A public distribution substation delivering a low voltage power supply to local residents is to complete the works.

The project began on 27 February 2017 and will be completed in late August. It represents 390,000 euros of total revenue (including 40,000 euros for the low voltage power distribution substation).

On a parallel site, teams from our Ferrières en Brie EP branch will take charge of installing streetlights, thus renovating the same sector's urban lighting.
