Eiffage Énergie Systèmes installs photovoltaic panels on Boullier's new workshop in Mayenne, France.
Boullier Chaudronnerie, a partner of our Laval branch on a number of projects, has entrusted Eiffage Énergie Systèmes with the electrical work at its brand new 1,500 m2 workshop in Changé (53). The company also chose our experts to install photovoltaic panels on the workshop roof, enabling them to successfully complete their first project of this type on their own, from A to Z.
Industrial boilermaking specialists Boullier were able to move into their brand-new workshop in the middle of summer. For our experts, the event marked the completion of an eleven-month project including all electrical work, as well as the installation and commissioning of photovoltaic roof panels.
“The project involved creating a new workshop with a number of offices. We were responsible for all the building's electrical work, including HV power, IT, access control, intrusion and video surveillance. But the project also included a photovoltaic section, which we handled entirely, from design to commissioning. We also helped our customer to complete the administrative process with ENEDIS, so the company could resell its surplus electricity production,” explained Business Manager Jérôme Coudray.
Our specialists installed 304 photovoltaic modules in all, with a total output of 128 kWp, representing 124,500 kWh of annual production. The electricity produced is chiefly for self-consumption on the site and covers 80% of the plant's needs, mainly for powering industrial machinery.
“After this major success, we've already got a new project underway, with the turnkey installation of two photovoltaic shading systems. The facility has a total output of 250 kWp, including 60 kWp on the roof. We'll be providing all the services for this project: civil engineering, structural work and steelwork for the two 500 m2 shading shelters,” said Jérôme Coudray. Our experts are due to install the shading systems in March, with handover scheduled for June 2025.
Through projects like these, our teams are helping our customers to achieve energy independence, while at the same time ensuring that Eiffage Énergie Systèmes plays an even greater role in energy transition.
