Eiffage Énergie Systèmes carries out power supply work for the future Paris-Orly Tram T9
Appointed by Ile de France Mobilités (formerly Paris region transport syndicate STIF) and Transamo, the consortium Eiffage Energie Systèmes-TSO Caténaires is in charge of commissioning overhead contact lines for the future T9, the tramline which is soon to link Paris and Orly.
As part of this project, our teams will carry out earthworks and lay foundations to provide support for the future overhead contact lines. These supply cables, which come into contact with the tram’s pantograph, are to carry and provide the electrical power needed to operate the T9.
Our staff will also install supporting piles and micropiles if need be, in places where the ground is of poor quality or too congested for traditional foundations to be built.
Our teams are already involved in works for the line in Paris (at Porte de Choisy in the 13th arrondissement), Ivry sur Seine, Vitry sur Seine, Thiais, Choisy Le Roi and Orly, and also for the Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF).
The project kicked off on 1 February 2018 for an 18-month period. The earthworks began in September 2018 and are scheduled until the middle of 2020. The tram is to be commissioned at the end of 2020.
