Eiffage announces launch of the construction work on the university hub of the Grand Paris Nord campus in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine

Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Construction, has launched the construction work on the university hub of the Grand Paris Nord campus in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, in line with the original schedule, following a 17-month design-study and a site-preparation phase through 2025.

The project announced by EPAURIF and awarded by Paris-Cité University in November 2024, on a general contracting basis, is worth a total of €397 million (Eiffage share €369 million).

The contract covers the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Grand Paris Nord university and hospital campus. The project is being executed in consortium with the architects PCA-STREAM and Michel Rémon & Associés, and the design consultants Ingérop, WSP and OASIIS.

It also draws on the expertise of Eiffage Énergie Systèmes for the electrical engineering works package, and of Eiffage Services, whose teams will be responsible for the operation and maintenance for the next 12 years.

The university campus will occupy almost 77,000 m2 and include four buildings dedicated to teaching and research, amphitheatres and a convention centre. Designed to promote an interdisciplinary approach and educational innovation, it will also incorporate imaging and simulation suites for medical, dental and nursing research and training. A huge 4,000 m2 central garden will be created to encourage social interaction and provide a pleasant environment for all site users.

Full delivery of the university hub is expected in the third quarter of 2029.
