Clemessy Maroc carries out electrical works in Noor Tafilalt’s three photovoltaic solar power facilities, for COVEC

China Overseas Engineering Group Co. Ltd (better known as COVEC) is one of Morocco’s major civil engineering actors. The company has appointed Clemessy Maroc to carry out multiple electrical works for three photovoltaic solar power facilities, Arfoud, Zagora and Missour, under construction on the Noor Tafilalet site in north-west Ouarzazate. These three facilities will generate a total of 120 megawatts of power once the works are completed.

As part of  the project for this new Chinese customer, our energy transport and distribution specialists are to supply, install and commission telecom equipment and digital monitoring & control cabinets for the three 60/22kV switchyards in Noor Tafilalt’s 3 photovoltaic solar power facilities.

This project enabling Clemessy Maroc to consolidate its renewable energies expertise is also an opportunity to show COVEC the extent of our know-how in constructing substations and power lines. It is worth noting that COVEC is one of the many subsidiaries of the China Railway Group Limited (CREC), a trust specializing in rail infrastructure, but also in photovoltaic solar power facility installation throughout the world
