APRR is expanding its ultra-fast charging network for electric lorries

On 7 July 2026, APRR, in partnership with Milence, a European player in charging for heavy-duty electric vehicles, opened a new station at the Gevrey-Chambertin Est service area in Côte-d’Or county. This facility, the first Milence station on the APRR network, features four 400 kW ultra-fast charging points designed for electric lorries undertaking long-distance journeys.

15 stations dedicated to lorries on three major motorway corridors

With seven stations already operational across its network, APRR is structuring its roll-out around three major strategic corridors: Paris–Lyon (A6–A5b highways), Luxembourg–Beaune (A31 highway) and Dijon–Mulhouse (A36 highway). By 2027, around fifteen stations will be serving these major freight transport routes across Europe. 

Decarbonising the sector with the highest CO₂ emissions

Through this operation, APRR is making a tangible contribution to the energy transition in the road transport sector. Freight transport represents a major challenge in terms of decarbonisation, with heavy goods vehicles accounting for nearly 22 per cent of transport-related CO₂ emissions in France. By developing infrastructure suited to electric freight transport, the company is helping to create the conditions necessary for the emergence of more sustainable mobility.

Supporting the mobility of tomorrow

According to Guillaume Hérent, Managing Director of Eiffage’s motorway concessions in France, “The motorway is the essential backbone for successfully decarbonising transport on a large scale. Our roll-out strategy, structured around three major strategic corridors, aims to provide long-term support for and accelerate the transition of heavy goods vehicles to electric power.”

By developing innovative infrastructure at the heart of major European transport routes, APRR is thus reaffirming its commitment to efficient, responsible and forward-looking mobility.
