30 years after its commissioning, Ævia is rehabilitating the Aussoue dam, located in Saint-Frajou, France
Located at an altitude of 260 meters, this Class B structure serves a strategic mission for irrigation and low-flow augmentation (artificially supplementing watercourses during low-water periods). Our Ævia teams will ensure its regulatory compliance and safety upgrades by carrying out the civil engineering and earthworks package.
The project includes the construction of a new spillway designed to handle exceptional flow rates. This involves using 500 m³ of reinforced concrete on the hydraulic structure, 6,000 m³ of earthworks to raise the dike, as well as strengthening the dam's monitoring system with the addition of new pore water pressure sensors.
The worksite is subject to rigorous environmental protection measures, including the strict demarcation of habitats and an adapted work schedule.
Congratulations to the teams on site for their technical mastery of this demanding structure!
Thank you to Rives & Eaux du Sud-Ouest for their trust!
