Eiffage Foundation: maritime heritage conservation and professional integration for people in difficulty in Le Havre
The Conservatoire Maritime du Havre works to promote the social and professional integration of people excluded from the workplace through its timber boat restoration activity. With the help of the Eiffage Foundation, it is fitting out new premises.
The Conservatoire Maritime du Havre has a dual vocation: safeguard maritime heritage and promote the social and professional integration of people in difficulty. It manages a work integration site that provides employment for 34 people excluded from the workplace, restoring timber boats with the help of 45 volunteer members.
"The Eiffage Foundation is helping the maritime conservatory set up new premises in a hangar close to where the association's activities are currently located in the Pointe de l’Escaut area of the port. These premises will include changing rooms, toilets, an eating area / kitchen for staff and a meeting room providing a relaxed space connecting the work integration site and the members of the association. Office space for providing social and professional support will also be created." explains Sébastien Grange, Business Manager at Eiffage Génie Civil (Infrastructures branch), who volunteered the project.
You can submit your project to the Eiffage Foundation online at: projets.solidaires.fondation.eiffage.com
We advise that you contact the Foundation beforehand to check if your project is eligible: Tel. 0171591118
