Eiffage Foundation and the Salvation Army: positive results for the launch of an events management activity in Paris

The Salvation Army Foundation manages nine centres in Paris (194 centres throughout France), including a work integration site called Capa’Cité, based in the Cité de Refuge building which was built by Le Corbusier in 1930 in the 13^th district of Paris. The building is designed for the reception, housing and social reintegration of 300 people facing difficulties. Around 250 people also receive employment and professional support.
 
The Eiffage Foundation has helped set up a work integration scheme in the events management sector, launched in September 2018 by the Salvation Army and based in the Cité de Refuge building. The results for the first year are positive: over a one-year period, six people on work integration schemes were trained as receptionists, security agents, waiters, equipment handlers and sound technicians. This events management activity generated over €80,000 in turnover, mainly for services provided to the associations sector (80%). Capa’Cités now plans to improve the professional nature of its services to meet the needs of private sector clients. A new class of six employees started in September 2019.
 
Bernard Héritier, a former Technical Director at the Infrastructures division now retired, is actively involved in the Salvation Army project.
