KMØ : over the last year, Clemessy has been making data science and AI available to our industrial customers.

KMØ ecosystem, dedicated to industrial digital transformation, opened its doors in Mulhouse in 2019. Our Eiffage Énergie Systèmes-Clemessy team moved in on 3 June. They planned to develop a number of projects and ground-breaking solutions, with the aim of speeding up 4.0 technology transfer to our companies and subsidiaries, helping them meet our customers’ new challenges and stay ahead of the competition.

Our staff have now been settled in this “agile digital lab” named KMØ for over a year. The 11,000 m2 digital city occupies the premises of the former Alsace Foundry in Mulhouse and aims to connect companies with start-ups, students or any other digital player specializing in big data, IoT, data sciences and artificial intelligence (AI). From their private offices, our experts are working on industrial digital transformation in a start-up spirit.

The data science business has been developed at KMØ, driven by Eiffage Énergie Systèmes-Clemessy’s Industrial Division. This service with high added value enables industrial processes to be improved and yields increased. It also helps optimize preventive and prescriptive maintenance, giving results that are unattainable with monitoring systems.

Backed by AI, data science enables our teams to support our customers more effectively. It is a (still) rare and ground-breaking skill which complements and enhances our traditional services. Our local branches thus have access to an extra commercial lever, providing a vector of differentiation from the competition.

Our digital solution SmartForest developed at KMØ is able to capture large quantities of data using big data tools. The solution’s AI engine enables phenomena to be analyzed and understood, and drifts detected, in order to improve a maintenance process or boost the performance of a production tool. Harvesting this data involves a three-way partnership comprising business experts (the customer’s and ours) and data scientist and IT specialists. The Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) is a genuine data science standard, allowing captured data to be explored, analyzed and modelled.

SmartForest, our concrete solution “made in KMØ” makes data science and AI available to our industrial customers and offers great prospects for the future of our Energy branch and the whole Eiffage Group.
