Expercité : urban requalification contracts in Marseille City Centre for Aix-Marseille-Provence Urban Area
Eiffage Énergie Systèmes has won three concurrent contracts as part of an urban requalification project in Marseille city centre’s public spaces. Our teams have been appointed by Aix-Marseille-Provence Urban Area to improve safety on all the streets in the Vieux Port. The programme involves installing automatic and mechanical retractable bollards and upgrading street lighting.
The first contract obtained by our Expercité specialists involves the maintenance and deployment of road barriers in what was formerly Marseille Provence Métropole Urban Community. “900 mechanical retractable bollards will be installed during this 4-year contract, which mainly requires our civil and mechanical engineering skills” explained Eiffage Énergie Systèmes branch manager Sébastien Mattei.
As part of the Marseille city centre requalification operation, our employees also won a contract to deploy automatic bollards. “Our assignment via this second contract is to make all the streets in the Vieux Port safer in the space of three years. Our teams are also to systematically upgrade street lighting throughout this geographical area” continued Mr Mattei.
The achievement of these three complementary contracts is fully in line with Eiffage Énergie Systèmes’ Expercité solution for towns and local authorities.
