GRDF chose Eiffage Énergie Systèmes' teams to carry out this three-year contract, which provides for studies, scheduled and emergency earthworks on the eastern part of its Paris region network and ad-hoc repairs.
In order to define boundaries for the teams working in the field, GRDF's network supplying the eastern side of the Paris region's first ring has been divided into two parts (North-East and South-East), with each part including around thirty towns.
Our employees are taking charge of preliminary studies before starting the work to be undertaken in each of these geographical areas. They will handle the earthworks scheduled as part of preventive and corrective network maintenance, but will also have to operate in emergency situations.
In both the north-east and south-east areas, they will have just an hour to carry out each earthworks operation, enabling GRDF's teams to stop a gas leak or rectify broken piping.
However, they themselves will ensure repairs to faulty gas connections and to building and gas riser pipes as part of their assignment.
This series of ad-hoc operations and scheduled or emergency earthworks began on 1 April 2017 and is due to end on 31 April 2020, after three years' work. Annual contract revenue amounts to 1,600,000 euros.
