The Eiffage Foundation is supporting the development of the GreSY association, which recycles textile waste into cleaning cloths and heating bales while creating local jobs in the area between Chambéry and Grenoble.
Launched in 2015, the GreSY association manages a textiles, linen and footwear recycling activity, in the isolated and economically challenged region of Haut-Grésivaudan (Isère), between Grenoble and Chambéry. So far, it has created five jobs for people in difficulty, who benefit from the support of its volunteers.
The rapidly developing association is launching a cleaning cloth and heating bale manufacturing unit (energy conversion) and moving into new premises. In order to expand its textile collection activity to cover the whole area, the association is investing in 8 recycling bins with the help of the Eiffage Foundation. Solange Ferrara, head toll collector, and Sandrine Cotte, logistics viability assistant, both at AREA, are supporting the project.
