Supported by the Espérance Banlieues foundation, La Cordée School is adapted to the educational needs of disadvantaged young people in Roubaix. To meet high demand, the school is extending its premises with the help of the Eiffage Foundation.
Launched in September 2015, La Cordée is a school of excellence adapted to the educational needs of young people in disadvantaged areas of Roubaix (small classes and innovative teaching methods). It is part of the Espérance Banlieues foundation network, which fights against early school leaving in these areas and turns school into a means of integration. There is a marked improvement in academic results and behaviour among pupils attending these schools.
The Roubaix school is growing rapidly; it started with 22 pupils in 2015 and already had 53 pupils by September 2016. It is currently renovating its premises in order to open a further three classes in September 2017.
The project is supported by Bertrand d’Hérouville, a manager in the Concessions division.
