Presented to the press last September, this strategic project for the city of Grenoble (France) has now been officially signed.
On 10 November, Philippe Nourry, CEO of AREA (APRR's subsidiary in the Rhône-Alpes region), signed with the French Government, the departmental authorities and Grenoble-Alpes Métropole the agreement for the reconstruction of two interchanges that cause major traffic congestion in Grenoble.
In 2019, three years of major works will thus commence on the Rondeau interchange and the North-South inter-urban motorway (A480) with the aim of easing local traffic, improving quality of life and boosting the regional economy.
The APRR group is thus investing some €334 million in the motorway plan signed last year with the Government, in return for the extension of its concession.
Commissioning of this "metropolitan" link is planned for 2022.
