Renovation of the emblematic Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz: the last phase of the works will soon be launched!
In Biarritz, Eiffage Construction is finalizing phase 2 and preparing the third and final phase of the renovation of the Hôtel du Palais for an unveiling in spring 2021. Former imperial residence of Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie, the establishment is ranked among the most beautiful hotels in the world.
A major operation in the luxury hotel industry, this exceptional market was won by Eiffage Construction in 2018.
The scope of the work is such important that it has been divided into three phases. The first phase focused on renovating the first half of the rooms between October 2018 and June 2019. The second phase - which started in October 2019 - focused on the renovation in two stages of a hundred rooms, reception areas and the entire basement. The roofs and carpentry on the west wing have also been renovated, the facades being made by Pradeau Morin, a subsidiary of Eiffage Construction, specialized in renovation and historic monuments. Our teams are currently preparing the third and final phase.
After the interruption a few weeks of the site following the health situation of the spring, and to protect the operational teams, the institution has decided to continue the work by entrusting to Eiffage Construction the last phase of the works that will finalize the total renovation of this magnificent building for a reopening in spring 2021.
