Enorail, the high-performance mechanized trains, unique in France, returns to service
At Brive-la-Gaillarde, in the Corrèze, France, the Enorail teams - Eiffage Rail and ETF consortium - have been mobilized to finalise the cleaning work on the line between Brive and Saint-Pantaléon de Larche towards Bordeaux, while respecting barrier measures and preventive measures.
Since the end of January 2020, the teams have been hard at work to bring this rapid sequence and its many integrated innovations into service, which allow ballast, sleepers and rails to be removed, before refurbishing everything. Teams have just resumed, after a break related to confinement, the finalization of the renewal of the last 1.5 km of rail tracks on a total of 5 km.
More than 100 people have been mobilized on this site and are taking charge of this new factory train.
For SNCF Réseau and the New Aquitaine region, these new ways will allow to increase the running speed of trains, improve train regularity and maintain the level of service on this line which connects Corrèze to Bordeaux.
