The aim is twofold in terms of respecting barrier gestures:
- to renew all track components (track, sleepers and ballast) and level crossings ;
- to proceed with the development work on the 6 stations (Hesdin, Montreuil, Anvin, Auchy-lès-Hesdin, Beaurainville and Étaples) with PMR accessibility of the platforms for each of them.
In total, by the end of the project, the teams will lay 60 km of track, nearly 120,000 tonnes of ballast and 92,000 ties.
This project, carried out on behalf of SNCF Réseau and SETEC, with the assistance of Eiffage Route for the earthworks, ballast underlay and ditches, and ERS for rail safety and traction, plays an essential role in the development and attractiveness of the region and is part of the 2015-2020 State-Regional Plan contract for the Hauts-de-France region.
