Côte d'Ivoire: Start-up OS received for Singrobo-Ahouaty

In April, the construction of a cofferdam upstream of the future dam, designed to divert the waters of the Bandama River, enabled the first rights-of-way for the structures to be built on the left bank of the river to be dewatered. This first phase of preparatory work will enable us to carry out the additional geotechnical and topographical surveys needed by the Biep, our engineering office, to carry out the execution studies. At the same time, the construction of the first infrastructures related to the site facilities (technical platform and base/office) is continuing.

The order to start the works delivered on 19/05/2020 by our customer, Ivoire Hydro Energy, kicks off the 34 months contractual deadline for the operation and allows the ramp-up of our on-site resources.

This project, which is being handled under a design-build contract by Eiffage Génie Civil and Eiffage Energie Systèmes, is located on the Bandama River between Abidjan and Yamoussoukro. It includes the construction of a mixed rockfill and concrete dam, a spillway, a plant housing the turbines, a discharge channel, the switchyard, the line connecting the power plant to the grid, temporary facilities and access roads.
