Eiffage Rail teams on the Lille tramway
As part of the Lille tramway track renovation programme, Eiffage Rail has just completed the replacement of 4 switchgear, 2 switches and 3 junctions in the municipalities of Marcq-en-Baroeul, Wasquehal and Villeneuve d'Ascq.
The teams of the Marly agency, with the participation of Eiffage Route for the asphalt part, carried out this project in 3 months, located in the heart of the city. In order to reduce the impact on users, the work was carried out in short nights (2h40 of effective work per night) over three consecutive weekends.
- 20 workers and 3 welding teams worked together to replace the 5,130 metres of rail and 16 expansion devices.
- 10 workers working in shifts 24 hours a day, as well as 4 teams of welders were mobilized for the renewal of intersections and switches
