Eight secondary schools in Seine-Saint-Denis
Build eight secondary schools as part of a public-private partnership in just two years : this was the challenge taken up by Eiffage teams in Seine-Saint-Denis. Nearly 5,000 pupils will be going back to school in September 2014 in brand new buildings.
These eight new “21st century secondary schools” have been built simultaneously in Aubervilliers, Aulnay-sous-Bois, Blanc-Mesnil, Bondy, Clichy-sous-Bois, Noisy-le-Grand, Le Raincy, and Saint-Denis/Saint-Ouen.
In April 2012, the Eiffage Group signed a partnership contract amounting to almost 280 million euros. Eiffage will be responsible for routine maintenance, major maintenance and renewal over the next twenty years.

Work to prepare handover began in June 2014 and the schools were delivered in August 2014. Nearly 500 people from Eiffage and its subcontractors worked towards successful completion of the project.
Eight different architects worked to create schools for the future, giving each one its own identity : the emphasis being on modern design, colour and natural materials.
Eiffage also gave priority to social initiatives. 105,000 hours of work experience were organised in partnership with the local council. The Group offered 31 work-study contracts providing training for CAP level qualification. Three other work-study initiatives were set up for BAC+2 level qualifications.
