The wastewater preliminary treatment plant in Tangiers harbour (SPRET) is one of the country’s main water purification plants. Having been commissioned in 2008, the infrastructure now requires major upgrading work, which is to be carried out by our industry specialists. This Moroccan subsidiary, which won the contract in Tangiers for Amendis-Veolia, is opening up new prospects on the other side of the Mediterranean for Eiffage Énergie Systèmes.
In order to carry out the upgrading work, our team are first to supply, install and commission three 1,250 kVA high voltage transformers, two 20 kV MV cubicle systems and the cabinets for low voltage power distribution in the new building. They will also supply, install and commission the automation systems, DC drives and starters. They will then install wiring cabinets to ensure a cabling link between the existing premises (now abandoned) and the new building. These operations will enable the SPRET to pre-treat almost all the city of Tangiers’ wastewater, thus helping to end uncontrolled pollution generated by wastewater discharge into the sea.
Eiffage Énergie Systèmes is diversifying its range of solutions in Morocco, via its subsidiary.
