Habitat et Humanisme Indre-et-Loire is planning to open an intergenerational residence in Tours in 2019, with the support of the Eiffage Foundation. The residence is designed to encourage social diversity as well as the professional integration of young people working in its restaurant.
Habitat et Humanisme provides housing and support for people all over France who are experiencing isolation or difficulty, thanks to its 55 local branches.
The Indre-et-Loire branch of Habitat et Humanisme is planning to open an intergenerational residence in Tours in early 2019. It will accommodate 50 to 60 people: seniors, single mothers and young people in difficulty. Additional services will help to encourage social diversity.
This includes a restaurant employing one or two young people on access to employment schemes.
The Eiffage Foundation is contributing financially to the project, for the fitting out of the partition walls in the restaurant kitchen. Sophia Decarrière, sales agent at Energie Systèmes, is supporting the project.
