Line 15: an update on the sidings platform

During the night of 19 November 2017, the rubble conveyor bridge was installed on the site of the sidings which will enable excavated material from the future Bry-Villiers-Champigny to be removed by train.

This 35-tonne bridge is 43 metres long, and was moved with the help of a 700-tonne mobile crane. For safety reasons, traffic was interrupted and overhead power lines switched off during this delicate operation, scheduled outside peak traffic times by the SNCF.
Two months’ preparation were needed for civil engineering work on the platform and supporting bents, and to assemble the bridge on the ground.
