Eiffage Foundation: solidarity garages promote mobility for people facing economic hardship

Solidarity garages offer the sale or repair of vehicles at solidarity prices for people facing economic hardship. The Eiffage Foundation is supporting the creation of a national federation and the launch of three new solidarity garages.

Solidarauto solidarity garages promote mobility for people facing economic hardship and offer the sale or repair of vehicles at solidarity prices. And there is a real need for this type of initiative: in France, almost one in two people on employment access schemes have had to refuse a job offer due to mobility issues.

The Eiffage Foundation is supporting the expansion of the Solidarauto model over a period of three years, with the creation of a national federation and the launch of three new solidarity garages in Clermont-Ferrand, Tours and Tarbes. Funding will go towards the investment required to open each garage.

Jean Carré, a retired Eiffage employee and former Chairman of the Foundation, is supporting the project.
