On 16 June, Eiffage Genie Civil received the SNCF service order to begin work on Lot M2 of Massy-Evry Tram-Train, involving the construction of a maintenance workshop and train shed on a general contracting basis representing over 20 million euros of revenue.
The project provides for a 9,600 m² building certified HEQ® and managed by the SNCF and AREP engineering consultants. It will be carried out using digital modelling (BIM) within a 22-month timeframe including 6 months' preparation.
The works programme is to be carried out with Eiffage Energie and includes the deployment of 6,000 m³ of reinforced concrete and 6,460 m of piles, the framework and roofing (5,700 m² including 4,300 m² seeded) 8,000 m² of steel and wooden cladding, woodwork, a delivery station, three 800 KVA transformers, three low-voltage master distribution boards, over 1,500 light points, 14,500 m of Voice, Data and Video wiring, 600 m of optical fibre, 800 RJ45 sockets, fire detection and PA systems, BAS, HVAC and plumbing. The contract also includes the supply and installation of workshop equipment: 5 travelling cranes, 3 goods lifts, a synchronized lifting chain, under-floor wheel lathe, paint booth, automatic train wash station and service station.
