Eiffage Énergie diverts Orange networks for the extension of Paris Metro Line 14

Eiffage Énergie's teams, in partnership with Eiffage Route AER for the major signalling, have been appointed by Orange to carry out network diversion work along Avenue d'Italie in the heart of Paris' XIII arrondissement. This is preparatory work for the upgrading of Maison Blanche metro station to enable the southerly extension of line 14, the RATP network's fastest and most efficient line.

To carry through the network diversion, our teams will need to create three underground vaults and 420 ml of concrete-encased duct banks. The depth of the earthworks will vary from 1.5m to 4.5m, while the ducts comprising the bank should reach a total length of 10 km. Coordination between the different concession holders (ENEDIS, GRDF, CPCU, Eau de Paris, Orange) all working to tight deadlines will be a real challenge for the teams involved.

Work began on 9 January 2017 and is scheduled until 28 July.
