Metz Conference Center
Following a year of intensive efforts, Eiffage Construction and Wilmotte & Associés have won a contract to design, build, operate and maintain for a period of 25 years, the future Conference Center in Metz (Moselle) worth €67 million (including €11 million for maintenance services).
Eiffage Énergie will be installing the high and low voltage electricity and the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. The Metz Conference Center, located just to the rear of the station, will extend 16,000 m² and will be 23 metres high. The building will be covered in an ochre coloured mesh, similar to the Jaumont stone used to build the city’s cathedral, so that it blends into its environment and doesn’t appear too imposing.
The Center will house a 1,200 seat auditorium, modular meeting rooms with a seating capacity for 1,200, a 100-seat restaurant and a hall that will be able to accommodate tables for up to 1,200 guests.
