A 65 Motorway
The A65 motorway (Pau-Langon), which is 150 km long, links Pau to the regional capital Bordeaux, and open up access to the area around Mont-de-Marsan. The A65, which has 150 civil engineering structures among which 15 viaducts, reduces travelling times by a full 50 minutes, putting Pau within around an hour and a half of Bordeaux, and bringing a range of benefits – including greater accessibility and new or strengthened activities – to the areas along its route. In addition, the new motorway link will bring Bordeaux closer to the Pyrenean ski resorts, thereby breeding new life into the tourist sector in the central Pyrenees. A'Liénor, the new company set up for the project, is co-owned by its creators, Eiffage (65%) and Sanef (35%).
