Societe Generale Campus
With its polished aluminium facades, metal frame and composite wood siding all the way from Japan, as well as interior courtyards boasting flawless mineral and vegetal wall coverings, the new Societe Generale campus in Fontenay-sous-Bois (east of Paris), designed by Parisian architect Anne Demians and built by Eiffage Construction, is strikingly stylish.
77,000 sq. m of office space and 13,000 sq. m of service areas, housed in five buildings, were built to accommodate 5,000 members of staff. The campus includes a gym, a business centre and restaurants, with outside spaces planted up with trees. 850 people were active on the site at the height of construction work, for a project that took just 27 months to complete. 25,000 m3 of concrete and 1,200 tons of steel were required to finish the project.
